Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• MS/PhD in CS, engineering, math, stats, OR economics or STEM preferred.
• Experience with agile-sprint-based approach preferred.
• Hospitality, retail, or customer-service industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently contribute to multiple complex Data Science projects.
• Develop AI/ML models and orchestration to drive engagement and value.
• End-to-end data science tasks: munging, feature engineering, modeling.
• Hyper-parameter tuning, deployment, experiments, KPI measurement.

The Senior Data Scientist is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned data science professional to contribute to these personalization initiatives. This hands-on individual contributor role will develop and evolve AI/ML models and their orchestration to drive customer engagement and business value. The position is part of the Commercial Data Science team within MGM's Marketing organization and collaborates closely with Commercial Strategy, Customer Engagement, Loyalty, Creative, Product, and Engineering teams. The role is responsible for end-to-end data science contributions, including data munging and normalization, feature engineering, modeling, hyper-parameter tuning, deployment, experimental design, test execution, and measurement.**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Independently contribute to multiple complex Data Science projects with minimal supervision* Perform hands-on tasks of a seasoned SME of AI/ML model development and implementation* Make significant enhancement to the personalization and commercial strategies by adding Data Science and analytic models* Develops predictive and statistical models. Hyper-parameter-tunes, scales, and deploys models. Orchestrates next best actions, maintains Data Science CI/CD framework, and improves decision* support systems. Executes processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance* Peer-reviews code, writes unit tests, and provides feedback on data pipeline and modeling approaches* Collaborates with other data scientist and recognized subject matter experts in developing and deploying models* Collaborates with analysts and engineers to specify data requirements.
