Job summary

MGM Resorts International seeks a Senior Accountant for Capital Accounting in the Corporate team. Based in the Home Office in US/Nevada, you will support monthly GAAP financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad-hoc accounting projects under management direction.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in auditing or accounting, a bachelor’s in a related field, strong analytical skills, and experience interfacing with executives. Gaming industry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • 3+ years of auditing or accounting experience.
  • Experience consulting with executives and stakeholders is a plus.
  • Experience pulling financial reports and using them to guide decisions is preferred.
  • 2+ years gaming industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Record transactional activity timely in the general ledger.
  • Evaluate internal controls and ensure processes run effectively.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and policy.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc accounting projects.
  • Lead and supervise projects within the corporate department and ensure SOX/compliance.
