Job summary

PTR Global is seeking a Sr Data Scientist AI/ML to build and deploy Gen AI applications in Fort Worth, TX. This contract role requires onsite presence Tue–Thu and remote Mondays and Fridays.

You will design, test, and deploy ML/Gen AI solutions, own data pipelines, and collaborate across data science, data engineering, and product teams to accelerate delivery of production-ready AI capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Data Science, ML, CS, Math or Stats with 5+ years of experience.
• Proficient Python with production-grade coding, testing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Gen AI apps: prompting, classifiers, RAG, LLMs.
• Experience with ML/AI pipelines, productionization, deployment, orchestration and monitoring.
• Strong knowledge of statistical and ML techniques.
• Proficient in SQL and data handling.
• Experience with Azure ML and Databricks.
• Familiar with ML lifecycle tools: MLflow, CI/CD, model monitoring.
• Experience building and deploying ML models.

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr Data Scientist to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on building and deploying Gen AI applications. This role will involve collaborating with a high-performing team to deliver scalable, production-ready AI solutions that drive measurable revenue impact. The candidate must be able to work onsite three days a week (Tuesday through Thursday) and virtually on Mondays and Fridays.

Responsibilities:

• Design, test, and deploy machine learning and Gen AI applications.
• Take ownership of data preparation and data pipeline development.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, data engineers, and product partners.
• Accelerate the delivery of scalable, production-ready AI solutions.
• Optimize, debug, and integrate code for machine learning models.
• Support the Service Recovery Modernization initiative.
• Participate in a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD degree with 5 years of experience in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics).
• Proficiency in Python, including production-grade coding, modularization, testing, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with building Gen AI applications (e.g., prompt engineering, classifiers, knowledge bases, RAG solutions, LLMs).
• Experience with ML/AI pipeline development, productionization, model deployment, orchestration, monitoring, and optimization.
• Depth of knowledge in statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with data.
• Experience with Azure ML and Databricks.
• Familiarity with ML lifecycle tools (e.g., MLflow, CI/CD, model monitoring).
• Practical experience designing, building, and deploying machine learning models.
• Domain knowledge in the airline industry is a plus.
• Experience working in a consulting role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
