Would you like aside-hustleworking with anew consulting start-upwith rockstar co-workers and where we offer the opportunity to work 10-20 hours per week while maintaining a day job if you choose? We are creating a new type of part-time job for theexperienced data folksout there that take pride in being able to do things2-3 times faster than the averageand thrive in an environment where your value is tied to your output and not the politics of an organization. If this sounds awesome, read on.

Responsibilities:

Generally speaking, aSr Data Engineering Consultantwill be helping the client build API connections and integrations, analytical databases, and driving the adoption of DataBricks across the organization. You will be an expert in the data engineering field with practical experience and can do just about anything when it comes to driving data engineering value in an organization. The specific responsibilities will continue to evolve as we get more and more guidance from the client and ideas from you!

We need someone that takes pride in rolling up their sleeves to create lots of value for the client through data warehousing, enhancing the data infrastructure, integrating automation, optimizing SQL queries, building data connections and just generally being a technical expert as we help drive our clients along the digitization path towards becoming more advanced.

Qualifications:

Generally speaking, you need to be exceptionally talented in any and all data engineering methodologies (i.e. data warehousing, SQL coding, data architecture development, building data pipelines end to end and integrating data connections etc.)

You need to have experience working in the cloud and with data technologies (i.e. you need to be able to build data pipelines end to end).Examples include working in Azure Data factory, AWS lambda functions, Snowflake etc

Your skills can be acquired through the school of hard knocks or through a high-value education (possibly in computer science or another technical field) but we are flexible on the education piece, but not the experience piece (you need a minimum of 4 years experience in data engineering).

You need to be entrepreneurial-minded and flexible in your approach to creating value.

You need to have experience integrating data engineering solutions within larger firms

Experience in the Utilities Industry would be a plus.

Additionally, you need to be the "most productive" person in your space - because this is a 10-20 hour / week role, we need to produce amazing results with less time. If you are someone that thrives on being hyper-productive and that gives you satisfaction and energy, that is a good sign.
