About the Role

We seek a talented Senior Data Engineer to build and maintain the core data infrastructure of InMarket’s product suite. You should be quick to learn new technologies and passionate about creating clean, efficient data pipelines. Your role involves implementing technical solutions to empower internal and external users, scaling our data platform, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop data sets that answer key business questions. You will work with large datasets, develop ETL pipelines, conduct reporting, and support business growth.

Your daily impact as a Sr. Data Engineer

• Design and implement ETL pipelines using Apache Airflow, BigQuery, Python, and Spark to transform data from various sources into usable assets.
• Stay current with data engineering best practices and advocate for their adoption within the team.
• Architect and plan projects involving distributed, high-performance data systems.
• Provide technical guidance to team members to foster growth and knowledge sharing.
• Communicate complex concepts and analysis results clearly to Product and Engineering Managers.
• Identify and improve existing data pipelines and processes.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Your Experience and Expertise

• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with data pipelining frameworks like Airflow or Luigi
• Proven ability to build ETL pipelines
• Proficiency in an object-oriented language such as Java or Python
• Experience with data warehouses on cloud platforms (BigQuery preferred)
• Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark
• Experience optimizing large-scale, high-performance systems
• Familiarity with cloud architecture and tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and CI/CD
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum 4 years of software engineering experience, preferably in data engineering

Nice to have:

• Python, SQL, Spark experience
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• BigQuery performance optimization skills
• Experience with data governance in regulated environments
• Knowledge of data testing frameworks
• Understanding of digital media and advertising industry

For candidates in certain states, the salary range is $140,000 to $175,000, depending on experience and skills. Salaries may vary and include bonuses, equity, and other benefits.
