Job summary

Great West is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to design and implement robust data infrastructure. You will develop strategic roadmaps, build complex ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

Responsibilities include governance, privacy, and compliance practices, with opportunities to influence cloud platform choices. This role combines remote work with quarterly travel to our home office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience in data engineering and modern data architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, and distributed storage solutions.
• Expertise in data modeling, performance optimization, and pipeline automation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
