Experis Technology Group is supporting a local financial services organization in recruiting a Sr. Data Engineer. This hybrid role focuses on building governed data pipelines on Snowflake and Azure, owning ingestion, transformation, and serving layers for trusted decisions and AI-enabled capabilities.

The ideal candidate will mentor across functions, establish governance, and drive end-to-end data platform ownership in a production-ready environment.

• 4–7 years of professional data engineering experience with leadership on enterprise platforms.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise-grade data pipelines on Snowflake and Azure.
• Architect ingestion and integration patterns across source systems (CDC, batch, streaming).
• Establish transformation frameworks and ensure pipelines are version-controlled, tested, and observable.
• Own pipeline SLAs, track data freshness, completeness, and error rates with runbooks and on-call readiness.
• Drive governance, data modeling, and data lineage to ensure traceable KPI sources.

Our client, a local financial services organization, is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer to join their team.

As a Sr. Data Engineer, you will be part of the Data & Analytics organization supporting the Data Foundation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of technical ownership, the ability to mentor and collaborate across functions, and a commitment to building governed, production-ready data pipelines that power trusted decision-making and AI-enabled capabilities.

What's the Job?

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-grade data pipelines on Snowflake and Azure, owning ingestion, transformation, and serving layers for governed data products.

Architect ingestion and integration patterns across source systems, applying CDC, batch, and streaming approaches where appropriate.

Establish transformation frameworks using dbt as the modeling standard, ensuring pipelines are version-controlled, tested, and observable.

Own pipeline SLAs by defining and tracking freshness, completeness, and error-rate targets, with documented runbooks and production on-call readiness.

Drive schema governance, data modeling discipline, and data lineage/metadata management so every governed KPI has traceable sources and clear stewardship.

What's Needed?

4-7 years of professional data engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership on enterprise-grade data platforms.

Advanced SQL skills, including complex query authoring, performance tuning, and schema design at scale.

Hands-on experience with dbt (preferred) or equivalent transformation frameworks, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration.

Production experience with Snowflake and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services (including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Storage, and Key Vault).

Working knowledge of data governance, lineage, cataloging, and security/compliance practices in regulated environments (SOC 2 Type 2 and PII handling principles).
