This position is located at our Beaverton, OR, office and has a hybrid schedule. We’re onsite Monday through Wednesday.

As our Sr. Data & AI Architect, you will:

  • Engage with our stakeholders and users to understand their business goals and challenges, then provide strategic guidance to transform our Data and AI platform.
  • Lead in-depth technical discussions, offering insights and recommendations to overcome complex challenges in data and AI initiatives.
  • Support users in achieving business outcomes by developing tailored solutions that drive their digital transformation and innovation.
  • Leverage ongoing opportunities to promote both self and team knowledge and skills in cutting-edge cloud technologies.
  • Partner with business and technology stakeholders to drive future state architecture for our enterprise Data & AI platform.
  • Engage face-to-face with internal customers to understand their technology/business needs and architect top-notch data and AI-driven solutions and projects.
  • Lead tool selection and develop proofs of concept with new technology frameworks and processes. Provide strategic and technical direction for key vendor relationships.
  • Engage closely with the tech, data, analytics, and data science teams and evangelize the adoption of standard architectural practices in everyday development work. Mentor Team Members as needed.
  • Participate in our company-wide architecture practice. Contribute to enterprise standards and reference implementations. Learn and apply the Concora Credit Architecture Framework, working with architects from other areas and aligning with the VP of Architecture.
  • Develop and publish models, catalogs, schemas, glossaries, roadmaps, online collaborative environments, knowledge repositories, and other artifacts.
  • Review designs, quality plans, and test results to ensure that business solutions are sufficiently robust, cost-effective, scalable, performant, and compliant to meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, and 4+ years’ experience in cloud data/ infrastructure technologies or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ combined years of architecture, design, and experience working on data management, data warehousing, and cloud technologies for Data, Analytics, and AI solutions involving tools like Python/Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica/DBT, Spark/Kafka, Power BI/Tableau, Azure Data Bricks/Power BI is preferred.
  • 4+ years’ experience working in a business-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external) and in developing data solutions from concept to launch.
  • Experience in data modeling with industry-standard data models.
  • Solid understanding of cloud databases, security, DevOps, MLOps, and related technologies in managing and optimizing Data and AI infrastructure.
  • Adequate understanding of AI technologies, familiarity with machine learning algorithms, deep learning, and natural language processing.
  • Knowledge of AI frameworks and tools like PyTorch, sci-kit-learn, and data science principles like data collection, preparation, analysis, and model evaluation.
  • Hands-on experience with: Java, C#, Python, SQL, or R, and in delivering services in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud Data Technologies is a plus (e.g., Azure, Databricks, AWS, Google, Snowflake).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a proven ability to quickly absorb technical concepts and effectively communicate them to a non-technical audience.
  • The ability to balance short-term tactical decisions with long-term strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrable leadership and team evangelizing abilities in changing, ambiguous, and challenging situations.
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with all Team Members, partners, and all others in and outside the Data & Analytics organization.
