Job summary

Inmarsat Government, a wholly owned subsidiary of Viasat, Inc., seeks a Sr. Cyber Security Specialist at Hanscom AFB, MA. You will lead RMF activities, assess and authorize systems, and coordinate continuous monitoring and vulnerability management to protect critical missions.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, deep knowledge of DoD/AF cybersecurity requirements, and the ability to advise leadership on risk and compliance. This is a full-time on-site position based at Hanscom AFB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, STIG implementation, and vulnerability management.
• Ability and proven experience advising senior leadership on cyber risk and compliance.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead RMF, assessment and authorization, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response support.
• Develop accreditation packages, security documentation, POA&Ms, and risk assessments.
• Advise leadership on cybersecurity posture and ensure DoD/AF compliance.
• Implement security controls and support cybersecurity compliance activities.

Job Responsibilities:

The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist leads Risk Management Framework (RMF), Assessment and Authorization, continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, incident response support, security control implementation, and cybersecurity compliance activities. The position develops accreditation packages, security documentation, plan of actions and milestones, and risk assessments while advising leadership on cybersecurity posture and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and Air Force cybersecurity requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience.
• Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53, STIG implementation, and vulnerability management.
• Ability and proven experience advising senior leadership on cyber risk and compliance.

What will help you on the job:

• Previous experience providing cybersecurity to the Department of the Air Force.
• Experience utilizing web-based Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service software.
• Professional certifications in CISSP, Security+ CE, CASP+, CISM, CCSP, CAP, GIAC GSEC, and GIAC GCIA are preferred.
