Job summary

Inmarsat Government, a subsidiary of Viasat, Inc., is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Wright Patterson AFB site in Dayton, Ohio. This position focuses on leading development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical software for defense customers.

The candidate will provide technical leadership in architecture, design, and secure DevSecOps practices while driving documentation and cross-disciplinary collaboration to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with secure software development and software lifecycle management.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leads development, integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical software for defense customers.
• Provides technical leadership in software architecture and design; advances Agile and DevSecOps practices.

Salary Range: $129,600.00 To $162,000.00 Annually

What you’ll need:

What will help you on the job:

• Experience with Platform One, cloud-native software development, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
• Professional certifications in Security+, AWS Certified Developer – Associate, and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) are preferred.
• Additional certifications in Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Practitioner, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are preferred.
