Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Customer Quality Engineer for the ADM Business Unit. The primary role of this position is to serve as the dedicated TE Quality Focal Point for all Customer Quality activities related to specific ADM Top Customers. The CQE will lead customer quality initiatives in the East Coast region, acting as the main interface for customer requirements and improvement strategies.

Key responsibilities include: driving improvements based on customer scorecards, managing customer portals, ensuring flow-down of quality requirements such as FAI’s, quality manuals, corrective actions, and change notifications. The role requires executing these tasks to meet customer expectations and establishing strong partnerships with TE plants to enhance internal KPIs such as VOC, customer complaints, PPM, COPQ, and 8D resolution timeliness.

This is a Remote Working Opportunity. The ideal candidate will reside on the East Coast.
Tasks & Responsibilities
  1. Review customer contracts to assess quality requirements and negotiate deviations if necessary; communicate these requirements within TE to ensure compliance, providing training and support.
  2. Evaluate TE’s customer quality performance periodically, focusing on complaints, PPM, response times, and 8D report quality.
  3. Participate in regular customer scorecard reviews, contributing to TE responses when needed.
  4. Visit customer plants regularly to strengthen partnerships and discuss quality topics.
  5. Develop and maintain customer-specific quality improvement plans, sharing best practices across the organization.
  6. Drive VOC and ECE initiatives, collaborating with various departments to resolve customer complaints and improve satisfaction.
  7. Lead regional efforts for high-impact customer events and improvement programs, coaching manufacturing and distribution teams in problem-solving processes.
  8. Support TOP Customer audits through preparation, attendance, and resolution management of non-conformances.
  9. Utilize internal and external data to identify systemic issues and initiate corrective actions.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical or business field
  • 5+ years in Quality roles
  • 3+ years interacting directly with manufacturing plants
  • Experience leading improvement initiatives
  • Preferred: ADM Quality experience and knowledge
  • Proficiency in PPAP, customer-specific requirements, problem-solving, corrective actions, and quality systems
  • Understanding of ADM products; previous ADM experience is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel 25-50% as required

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary ranges from $98,600 to $147,800, depending on location and experience. Total compensation includes base salary, incentives, and benefits, which encompass health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, stock purchase plans, paid time off, and voluntary benefits.
