Job summary

Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. in Boston is seeking a Senior Currency Administration Product Development Specialist to lead product development across the Global foreign exchange business line, manage requirements, testing, and timely delivery within cost and scope.

Ideal candidates have a finance/mathematics degree, 3+ years in Currency Administration or Fund Accounting, strong business analysis, and Excel/VBA skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, or related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience; experience in Fund Accounting and/or Currency Administration is an advantage.
  • Excellent business analysis skills, including drafting business requirements, proposals, and workflows.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange trading instruments.
  • Strong interpersonal, consultative, and advisory skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Excel and VBA; other coding languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product development efforts across the Global FX business line, including project management, business analysis, and research.
  • Prepare, document, and review business requirements for Currency Administration items.
  • Create test scenarios and cases in integrated system tests.
  • Coordinate UAT and oversee systems testing aligned with requirements.
  • Identify product gaps and opportunities, proposing creative solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage business implications of technology implementations.
  • Help implement process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Provide business recommendations on complex issues.
  • Support currency administration client service teams.
  • Oversee product development from inception to delivery within cost/scope.

Senior Currency Administration Product Development Specialist

Responsibilities
  • Lead product development efforts across the Global foreign exchange business line, including project management, business analysis, and research.
  • Prepare, document, and review business requirements for upcoming Currency Administration development items.
  • Create test scenarios and cases in integrated system tests.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and oversee thorough systems testing in line with business requirements.
  • Identify product gaps and opportunities, recommending creative business solutions.
  • Coordinate and manage the business implications of technology implementations on current and future business environments.
  • Help incorporate process improvements to reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
  • Provide business recommendations on complex issues.
  • Support currency administration client service teams.
  • Manage product development initiatives from inception to implementation, ensuring timely and effective delivery within cost and scope parameters.
  • Maintain effective project communication and collaboration across groups (Systems, Risk, FX, Operations).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, or related discipline (preferred).
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience; experience in Fund Accounting and/or Currency Administration is an advantage.
  • Excellent business analysis skills, including drafting business requirements, product proposals, and business/technical workflows.
  • Knowledge of foreign exchange trading instruments.
  • Strong interpersonal, consultative, and advisory skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and make sound business decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting time‑sensitive deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and VBA, and other coding languages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation

Salary range: $85,000 – $130,000 base salary + annual target bonus. BBH’s compensation program includes discretionary bonuses and profit‑sharing. Base salaries may vary based on skill, experience, and qualification for the role.
