Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a Sr. CT Sustaining System Engineer to own hardware designs and lead post-launch issue investigations for high-volume Customer Terminal products.

You will coordinate with offshore/local teams, validate designs, and drive cost-reduction through design and sourcing choices. The role demands a Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/Systems, 5+ years in hardware design/validation, and familiarity with test plans, supplier collaboration, and rapid

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead End to End (E2E) Root Cause Investigation for complex CT hardware, ASIC, or system failures from field returns and reliability stress tests.
  • Evaluate design architectures and component selections to identify opportunities for BOM cost reduction and design simplification
  • Perform engineering trade studies to balance product performance, requirements, cost, schedule, and customer experience
  • Lead offshore or local engineering teams, set technical strategies, and coordinate with manufacturing and design teams
  • Support requirement definition and develop hardware validation and test plans
  • Support the development of automated test systems, fixtures, and factory test solutions with an emphasis on minimizing test time and cost
  • Partner with manufacturing and supply chain teams to support component sourcing, alternate qualification, and cost reduction initiatives

CT Sustaining System Engineer, you will be part of the team developing cost-optimized Customer Terminal products designed for high-volume production. You will own key hardware designs and investigate hardware, component, or system defects post-launch to find root causes and prevent future failures. You will own or contribute to the following:

Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related fields
  • 5+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
  • PMP certification, or SCRUM/Agile, SAFe certification
  • Knowledge of digital communication systems, error correction, synchronization, spread spectrum, single and multi-carrier techniques, and modulation types such as QPSK, APSK, and QAM
