Insight Global is seeking 2 Sr. Critical Facilities Engineers for a Data Center client in Sterling, VA.

The on-shift Facility Engineer will oversee operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment to guarantee 100% uptime for mission-critical servers. Candidates should have 5+ years of Data Center operations experience and deep knowledge of high/medium voltage systems, UPS, PDU, generators, cooling plants, CRAH/CRAC systems, and NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Data Center operations.
• Advanced knowledge of medium (25kV) and low (120/208 and 277/480) volt systems including UPS, PDU, transformer, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of generators, cooling plants, and electrical systems.
• Advanced knowledge of CRAH/CRAC systems.
• Able to use basic computer tools to support ticketing.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper distribution of power within the facility.
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and prompt repair of equipment.
• Manage contractors and vendors; maintain maintenance contracts.

The Facility Engineer on shift is responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment in support of mission-critical servers requiring 100% uptime. • Able to apply basic computer knowledge and experience in order to facilitate the ticket process.
• Military (especially Navy) backgrounds
• License facilities operation trade in mechanical, electrical or HVAC in one or more areas
• NFPA 70E knowledge
• Infrared Thermography Level 1
• Refrigeration/CFC certifications
• CDCTP (Certified Data Center Technical Professional)
