Job Summary:

• Assist in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Assist in preparing cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Manage scope changes.
• Determine scope definition requirements for a discipline or specialty and coordinate with Engineering and other sources to produce required data conforming to the overall estimate preparation plan.
• Develop quantity takeoffs for a discipline or specialty using defined documents or assumptions, and verify quantities provided by others.
• Develop and apply unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs and other developed quantities within a discipline or specialty.
• Prepare specific budgets following prescribed standards and procedures.
• Coordinate and prepare cost reports.
• Collect and classify cost engineering data.
• Perform data analysis and development.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Project Manager, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Knowledge of capital and services cost.
• Knowledge of scope change management.
• Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
• Proficiency in multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Ability to identify, analyze, and provide innovative solutions to cost problems.
• Knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and understanding of Project Controls, including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Data.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Knowledge of basic computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Cost engineering or project management certification is preferred; if not currently certified, candidates should be eligible to attain certification within one year.
• Ability to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

• Work is typically performed in a remote office environment.
• Sitting and standing for prolonged periods may be involved.
• Work may involve walking and climbing on construction sites.
• Occasional travel to Wiesbaden, Germany.
