Job Summary:

• Assist in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
• Assist in preparing cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
• Manage scope changes effectively.
• Determine scope definition requirements for a discipline or specialty, coordinating with Engineering and other sources to produce data that conforms to the overall estimate plan.
• Develop quantity takeoffs for discipline or specialty using defined documents or assumptions, and verify quantities provided by others.
• Apply unit rates (cost and job hours) to quantity takeoffs and developed quantities within a discipline or specialty.
• Prepare specific budgets following prescribed standards and procedures.
• Coordinate and prepare cost reports.
• Collect, classify, and analyze cost engineering data.
• Perform data analysis and development.
• Perform other duties as directed by the Project Manager, Supervisor, or Manager.
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.
• Have knowledge of capital and services costs.
• Understand scope change management.
• Possess intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
• Be proficient in multiple discipline-specific software applications.
• Demonstrate skill in identifying, analyzing, and providing innovative solutions to cost problems.
• Have knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and project control instructions impacting project financials.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
• Be skilled in using basic software applications like Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Possess strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Exhibit leadership and organizational skills.
• Cost engineering or project management certification is preferred; if not current, must be eligible to attain within one year.
• Be willing to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

• Work primarily in a remote, office environment.
• Sit and stand for prolonged periods.
• Walk and climb on construction sites as needed.
• Occasional travel to Wiesbaden, Germany.
