Job Summary:
  • Assist in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
  • Assist in preparing cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage scope changes effectively.
  • Define scope requirements for disciplines or specialties, coordinating with engineering and other sources to produce data conforming to the estimate plan.
  • Develop quantity takeoffs for disciplines or specialties using defined documents or assumptions, verifying provided quantities.
  • Apply unit rates to quantity takeoffs and other developed quantities within a discipline.
  • Prepare specific budgets following prescribed standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate and prepare cost reports.
  • Collect and classify cost engineering data.
  • Perform data analysis and development.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Knowledge of capital and services costs.
  • Understanding of scope change management.
  • Intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
  • Proficiency in discipline-specific software applications.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and solve cost problems innovatively.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes, understanding their impact on Project Controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and basic software applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Cost engineering or project management certification preferred; if not current, eligible to attain within one year.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
  • Work typically performed in a remote office environment.
  • Prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Walking and climbing on construction sites may be involved.
  • Occasional travel to Wiesbaden, Germany.
