Job Summary:
- Assist in developing and implementing requirements for cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, programs, and reports.
- Prepare cost data for projects, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Manage scope changes effectively.
- Define scope requirements for a discipline or specialty, coordinating with Engineering and other teams to produce necessary data for estimate preparation.
- Create quantity takeoffs for disciplines or specialties, verifying provided quantities.
- Develop and apply unit rates to quantity takeoffs and other developed quantities within a discipline or specialty.
- Prepare specific budgets following prescribed standards and procedures.
- Coordinate and prepare cost reports.
- Collect, classify, and analyze cost engineering data.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Project Manager or Supervisor.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen.
- Have knowledge of capital and service costs.
- Understand scope change management.
- Possess intermediate knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup processes.
- Be proficient in using multiple discipline-specific software applications.
- Demonstrate ability to identify, analyze, and provide solutions to cost issues.
- Have knowledge of financial reporting systems, controller account codes, and project control instructions, including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Data.
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with 7-10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Be skilled in computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Have strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Cost engineering or project management certification is preferred; if not certified, eligibility to attain certification within one year is required.
- Be willing and able to travel occasionally to Wiesbaden, Germany.
Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:
- Work is primarily in a remote, office environment.
- Sitting and standing for extended periods are involved.
- May involve walking and climbing on construction sites.
- Occasional travel to Wiesbaden, Germany.
