The role requires 3–5+ years of BAS/HVAC experience, familiarity with Tridium Niagara (N4/AX) or Distech, and strong troubleshooting/ programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission BAS/DDC systems for new construction and retrofit projects.
• Troubleshoot and service control systems at customer sites.
• Verify system performance and ensure sequences meet project specifications.
• Develop and implement control programs, databases, and graphics.
• Complete commissioning documentation and maintain accurate as-built records.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to support project execution.
• Provide technical support, training, and follow-up for end users.
• Assist HVAC technicians with controls-related issues in the field.
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development.
• Identify service opportunities and support ongoing customer relationships.

About the Role: Currently looking to hire a BAS Controls Technician in the Charlotte area. This role is focused on installing, programming, commissioning, and servicing building automation systems (BAS) across commercial projects. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality control solutions while working directly with customers, project teams, and field technicians.

What You'll Do

• Comfortable working directly with customers and in the field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license

Nice to Have

• Technical degree or formal training in HVAC, electronics, or controls
• Experience with multiple BAS platforms or OEM systems
