Ocean Spray is hiring for a Sr. Controls & Automation Technician (Nights)! We are a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. As a farmer-owned co-op, we value hands-on effort and innovation, founded by three maverick farmers who set us on our path.

Role Overview: The Sr. Controls & Automation Support Technician will support automation systems for manufacturing operations. Responsibilities include evaluating automation needs, maintaining systems, supporting FSQA processes, and assisting with equipment training.

A Day in the Life...

1. Assist in evaluating and selecting automation hardware and software for manufacturing requirements.
2. Provide input on controls and automation systems testing, quality control, data retrieval, and training.
3. Assess the effectiveness of automation systems and manage change processes.
4. Develop and maintain control system documentation and procedures.
5. Support food safety and quality initiatives within the plant.

What We Are Looking For:

1. Experience configuring and programming Allen-Bradley Powerflex drives or equivalent.
2. Troubleshooting Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and Remote I/O networks.
3. Modifying and programming FIX32/iFIX HMI and SCADA platforms.
4. Maintaining Allen-Bradley PanelView/Plus operator interfaces.
5. Installing and maintaining transmitters and sensors.
6. Reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and PFDs.
7. Performing PID tuning and instrument calibration.
8. Troubleshooting SLC-500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix, and ControlLogix hardware.
9. Programming Allen-Bradley PLCs using RSLogix software.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
