Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Sr. Controls & Automation Technician (Days)! We’re a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. The Sr. Controls & Automation Support Technician will be responsible for supporting automation systems for manufacturing operations. You will evaluate current and future technical automation needs for procurement and provide expertise on automation systems. Additionally, you will maintain automation systems and change processes, assist equipment training, and support FSQA processes.
A Day in the Life...
• Assist in evaluating and selecting automation hardware and software necessary to meet current and future manufacturing requirements.
• Provide input to managing the controls and automation systems testing, quality control, data retrieval and training for all packaging and processing equipment.
• Assist with assessing the effectiveness and maintainability of new automation systems and managing the automation change process for existing equipment.
• Develop and maintain control system documentation and documentation change control procedures.
• Support and promote food safety and quality program initiatives within the plant environment.
What We Are Looking For:
• Configure and program Allen-Bradley Powerflex series variable frequency drives or equivalent
• Troubleshoot/maintain controls system Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet and Remote I/O network architectures
• Modify and program FIX32/iFIX HMI and SCADA platforms or equivalent
• Program, maintain and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PanelView/Plus operator interface hardware
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain transmitters and sensors
• Audit, maintain and update electrical documentation
• Read electrical schematics, process & instrumentation diagrams (PIDs) and process flow diagrams (PFDs)
• Perform PID loop tuning and implement instrument calibration procedures
• Troubleshoot and maintain SLC-500, MicroLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix hardware
• Perform Allen-Bradley PLC programming implementing RSLogix5, 500 and 5000 software or equivalent
Education:
Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
Work Experience:
At least 3 Years of Experience
