  • Deep expertise in PLCs and control system interfaces (HMI/SCADA).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical thinking.
  • Effective communication and leadership across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

Description

DC Engineering is seeking a skilled and motivated Controls System Integrator to join our dynamic team! In this role, you’ll collaborate with a talented group of Engineers, System Integrators, Programmers, and Panel Builders to deliver innovative and high-quality automation solutions.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the lead systems integrator on diverse projects, guiding solutions from concept through design, implementation, and commissioning.
  • Design and implement system architectures ensuring compatibility, scalability, and performance.
  • Develop and program advanced PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
  • Apply strong knowledge of physical and automated systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and control functionality.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues, perform I/O testing, and validate overall system performance with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision while actively contributing to a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for all system integration activities and deliverables.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal engineering teams, external consultants, vendors, and key business stakeholders to ensure project success.
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in control systems integration.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC and HMI programming.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities.
  • High-level competency in system troubleshooting and validation.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel, average 10-15% typical, but dependent on specific projects.
  • Physical ability to work in the field on job sites doing control system start-ups or trouble shooting
Requirements

  • Physical Requirements: Must be physically capable of performing field commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting activities in industrial and construction environments, including climbing ladders/stairs, lifting equipment and materials, working in outdoor conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Water/Wastewater systems and/or food processing
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or closely related field
