Sr. Consultant - OT Network Architect | Remote, USA

This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the US.

Our consultants are skilled technical and consultative resources expected to be strong in both technical and soft skills. A Consultant must be a proven self-starter with the ability to problem-solve, communicate effectively, participate in diverse project teams from a technical perspective, and interface with customers, vendor partners, and colleagues. Establish & maintain productive and respectful relationships with the delivery team, practice management, and client management teams.

You will actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives. Deliver timely engagements and work closely with Practice Directors to drive training, education, career development, performance development, and collaboration across the team.

In line with Optiv’s commitment to quality, you will ensure that work meets Optiv’s quality standards by reviewing the work provided by other team members.

How You’ll Make An Impact
  • Deliver solo or act as the "point" for complex projects.
  • Lead OT segmentation strategy discussions and assessments.
  • Create documentation for OT segmentation standards and reports.
  • Lead capacity planning and hardware specification efforts.
  • Lead deployment activities for cyber-physical solutions and networking technologies, including connector configuration, custom rule development, workflow configuration, and third-party system integration.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively within the team.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, and professional associations such as ISSA.
  • Obtain and maintain top-tier networking vendor certifications.
  • Complete administrative tasks like time and expense entry, status reporting, and project completion reports.
  • Contribute to Optiv communities for solutions of focus.
What We’re Looking For
  • Approximately 4-7 years of experience in OT architecture.
  • Experience with CPWE, ISA 62443, NIST 800-82, or other relevant OT frameworks.
  • Knowledge of security concepts such as vulnerability assessments, data classification, incident response, security policies, and governance.
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating systems (Windows, UNIX), security technologies, and scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell).
  • Working knowledge of operating systems, virtual environments, security packages, and databases.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence across functions.
  • Negotiation and consensus-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel; valid US driver’s license.
  • Relevant professional certifications like CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are desirable.
