Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation is seeking a field construction leader for Power Grid Operations (PGO) projects in the Charlotte area. The role oversees construction, maintenance, and restoration activities to ensure alignment with specifications and timelines.

You will work with the project team and external partners to drive safe, compliant execution while meeting budget and in-service targets. Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Responsibilities

This position will have field construction accountability for the successful execution of Power Grid Operations (PGO)construction, maintenance, and restoration activities. The position will report to the Manager of Construction Managementwho will provide general guidance and oversight. This position will have responsibility for construction management during all phases of moderately complex projects. Manage the execution of PGO work plan in accordance with the appropriate Scope and Method of payment while maintaining financial stewardship. Ensure the efficient utilization of contractor resources to meet the work plan. This position works to ensure customer and company project goals are met while working with both internal and external stakeholders.

This position will serve as the single point of contact for all PGO contractors. This could include all phases of the project lifecycle from development through construction activities to assure the project is built per Duke Energy’s specifications and standards.
