Job description

Position: Sr. Construction Inspector - Roadway/Pavement

Location: San Francisco, CA (Work Location: Anchorage, AK)

Job Id: 46783

Salary: Based on experience; details discussed during interview

Requirements: Must be a US Citizen, pass federal background review and drug screen

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect airfield runway construction and pavement resurfacing to ensure workmanship meets contract, plans, and specifications
  • Perform and support three-phase inspection system
  • Provide detailed daily QA reports
  • Review contractor progress and safety compliance (EM 385-1-1, OSHA)
  • Verify accurate as-built drawings and review payment requests
  • Monitor project schedule and maintain inspection reports
  • Assist with RFIs, modifications, change orders, and final inspections

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with 7+ years of relevant inspection experience; or Associate/Bachelor's degree with fewer years of experience
  • Paving Inspector Certification within 30 days of start
  • Experience with RMS 3.0, safety regulations, and federal projects (US Army Corps of Engineers preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and professionalism required

Additional Notes: QARs may work in remote, extreme environmental conditions.
