Qualifications

Your impact:

  • Observes and monitors field work activities on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents
  • Supervises subordinate inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performance
  • Reviews project activities with contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issues
  • Read and interpret contract plans and specifications
  • Possess current material testing certifications as applicable
  • Material testing and documentation of acceptance
  • Inspection of and documentation of contractor’s work and progress
  • Review, recommend, and process contractor pay estimate requests
  • Review/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittals
  • Other duties as assigned

Who you are:

  • 7+ years of CEI and construction experience. Experience on road and bridge infrastructure projects for INDOT and/or the Indiana Toll Road highly preferred
  • INDOT Certified Technician or ability to become certified within 12 months
  • Bridge and/or ancillary inspection experience preferred
  • Requires progressive work-related experience
  • Work requires ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating advanced technical reports
  • Requires advanced knowledge of construction practices and principles
  • Must be able to interpret plans, standards and specifications
  • Good understanding of construction specifications and plans
  • Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations
  • Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of INDOT specifications and standards
  • Ability to effectively lead a team of inspectors. Experience preferred.
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License
