  • Serve as a compliance resource to engineering and project teams by helping interpret applicable electrical safety, emissions, and efficiency requirements.
  • Review product changes and assess potential impacts to existing certifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Work closely with testing laboratories, NRTLs, certification bodies, and regulatory organizations to support successful project execution.
  • Assist teams in understanding applicable North American requirements, including UL and CSA standards, and their implications for product design and market access.
  • Support compliance-related troubleshooting efforts when certification or regulatory issues arise.
  • Develop and maintain compliance guidance materials, reference documents, and training resources that improve organizational understanding of electrical certification requirements.
  • Monitor changes to relevant electrical safety standards and communicate potential impacts to product teams.
  • Participate in broader Codes & Standards activities, including regulatory monitoring, standards development, and continuous improvement initiatives as needed.
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is strongly preferred. Equivalent combinations of technical education, product certification experience, regulatory compliance experience, or product safety expertise will also be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical product certification, product compliance, product safety, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience working with electrical certification agencies, testing laboratories, or NRTLs is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of North American electrical safety standards and certification processes, including UL and CSA requirements.
