Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Sr. Communications Manager

6-month full-time contract

Location: Remote – SF Bay Area or PST preferred

Pay Rate: $60-70/hr.

Role Overview:

The Sage Group’s Client is seeking a contract Communications Manager with a passion for storytelling and strategy with a background in social media, customer marketing, and editorial content management. The contractor will oversee email and social media calendars, client endorsement program, and internal team member events such as monthly All-Hands and weekly All-Syncs. They will also be responsible for approving and scheduling written content, including client emails, social media posts, and other client communications (how-to guides, FAQs, and in-app messaging). The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional partners in Marketing, HR, Compliance, Product, and other internal teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the editorial calendars for email and social media to ensure that our communications to clients and prospects are clear and concise.
  • Edit and approve written content from internal teams, providing consultative guidance to internal teams on brand messaging and storytelling as needed.
  • INTERNAL: This includes client emails, knowledge articles, HRX posts, social media posts, and all-company meeting slides.
  • Develop innovative and differentiated social content, working closely with partners in Marketing, HR, Product, and more.
  • Lead client endorsement program, from securing interviews with clients to finalizing external-facing case studies.
  • Support employee advocacy efforts on social media with customized messaging, newsletters, and incentives.
  • Plan and execute the monthly All-Hands and weekly All-Syncs, partnering with the Chief Marketing Officer and internal teams on agenda, content development, and timing.
  • Measure the effectiveness of efforts and use learnings to enhance future content executions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • 6+ years of experience
  • Demonstrated experience with various communication channels (i.e. email, corporate social media accounts, content calendars, employee events, video).
  • Ability to manage complex projects with multiple partners and deadlines, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Innovative thinking and storytelling abilities.
  • Expertise in creating and approving social media content.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess performance and communicate actionable insights.
