Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 10–12 years in data center commissioning.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Manages all stages of commissioning, from planning and design reviews to final testing and handover.
• Creates commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures, and verification checklists.
• Ensures facilities and systems meet design specs, health and safety standards, and performance needs.
• Acts as main contact and coordinates between teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Prepares documentation, inspection reports, test results, and final certificates.
• Performs functional testing and site acceptance testing to verify performance.
• Trains direct reports on processes and daily tasks.
• Manages workload and performance of team to align with company standards.
• Fosters a positive, inclusive work environment and communicates strategy to staff.

Responsibilities

• Manages all stages of commissioning process, from initial planning and design reviews to final testing and handover
• Creates commissioning plans, schedules, test procedures (like IET and IPVT/IST), and verification checklists
• Ensures the facility and its systems comply with design specifications, health and safety standards, and performance requirements
• Acts as the main point of contact and manages communication between various teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
• Prepares and manages all necessary documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and final certification documents
• Performs and oversees various tests, such as functional testing and site acceptance testing, to verify system performance
• Trains direct reports on processes, procedures, and completion of daily tasks
• Manages workload and performance of direct reports, ensuring alignment with overall company standards
• Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
• Aids in communicating company and department strategy to direct reports

Experience/Education

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• 10-12 years of data center commissioning experience
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• In-depth knowledge of data center systems, including power distribution, cooling, HVAC, and IT equipment
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, change orders, and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
• Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and effectively
