Job summary

One80 Intermediaries seeks a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our growing team in New York, NY. The role focuses on marketing new and renewal accounts and communicating with carriers to support profitable growth.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial Property & Casualty underwriting, with strong risk assessment and client communication skills, and may benefit from experience in Excess & Surplus Lines. Fluency in English and Mandarin is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree or higher, plus 5 years of relevant commercial Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
  • Additional 2 years of commercial P&C underwriting experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Excess and Surplus Lines experience is highly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is strongly preferred.
  • Must have the ability to react and respond quickly and professionally.

One80 Intermediaries is seeking a Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter to join our growing team in New York, NY. We’re seeking a Senior Underwriter with a strong background in commercial lines insurance to market new and renewal accounts and effectively communicate with carriers.

How You Will Contribute:
  • Evaluates information to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines.

Pay Range:

Pay Range 85,000.00 - 115,000.00 Annual. The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
