Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial HVAC equipment such as chillers, pumps, cooling towers, split systems, package units, and boilers
- Training and mentoring other technicians
- Knowledge of air- and water-cooled HVAC equipment
- Servicing VFDs, motor starters, pumps, and motors
- Troubleshooting hydronic and boiler systems
- Knowledge of York, Trane, and Carrier microprocessors
- Proper use and maintenance of company property, vehicles, and tools
- Representing the company professionally and ethically
- Maintaining vehicle stock and warranty parts management
- Performing other duties as assigned
- Regular attendance
Health & Safety Roles and Responsibilities
- Reporting unsafe acts, conditions, hazards, and injuries
- Using and maintaining PPE
- Following safety procedures and participating in safety initiatives
- Ensuring safety guards and devices are in place
- Complying with legislative requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED, with additional training and at least 10 years of HVAC experience
- Valid licensing or certification as required by law
- Skills in refrigerant systems, HVAC startup and commissioning, instrumentation, and maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts
- Physical ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 75 pounds, and work in various environmental conditions
