Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Devens, MA, seeks a Senior CMM Programmer to generate CMM programs for multiple operations as parts progress from rough to finish. You will use Calypso and PC-DMIS to support quality and operations teams and collaborate with manufacturing engineering.

With 6+ years of CMM programming, you will design fixtures, write procedures, verify in-house models, and train operators. The role requires experience with regulated environments and CAD-based systems, and entails interaction

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a CMM Programmer.
• Strong experience with Zeiss/Hexagon CMMs and programming.
• Proficient knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Experience working in regulated environment.
• Knowledge of machine tools and processes.
• Knowledge of CAD based systems.
• Able to work with 3D models.

Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CMM programs using drawings to ensure accurate dimensional inspection.
• Design fixturing to facilitate new product programs.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production control to set priorities.
• Develop and write procedures/work instructions supporting CMM programs.
• Verify models developed in house and conduct prove-outs.
• Train operators in CMM operation, troubleshooting, and minor programming.
• Procure CMM tooling and act as the point of contact for CMM suppliers.
• Assist with day-to-day functions in the QC Lab as it pertains to CMMs.
• Develop inspection plans as needed.
• Assist CMM operators with any CMM issues.

Job Purpose

As a Senior CMM Programmer at VulcanForms Inc., located in Devens, MA, you will work closely with manufacturing engineering generating CMM programs for the various operations as product goes through from rough to finish product. You will use tools like Calypso and PC-DMIS to support CMM programming for our Quality and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

The annual base salary range for this position is $102,033.00 to $140,296.00.
