Primary Purpose

The Cloud Platform engineer will serve as a thought leader, working with a team dedicated to defining and delivering cloud solutions that ensure security, reliability, availability, and self-service functions, catering to end-to-end cloud platform needs for product development teams.

You will provide technical leadership in deploying and delivering various Azure services.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at a core location and 2 remote days.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Design, build, manage, and operate Azure Core Services with automation and infrastructure as code
• Design, build, manage, and operate the continuous delivery framework and tools, support platform components, and assist product teams
• Lead engineering practices around test-driven development and continuous delivery of infrastructure
• Integrate components and develop new services focused on customer needs
• Evaluate performance trends, demand, and capacity; establish scalability plans
• Troubleshoot availability and performance issues at Azure Service and on-prem layers
• Maintain Azure policies, governance, cost management, and guardrails
• Create and document low-level designs, standards, and as-built documentation on Confluence
• Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Platform Engineering, and Product teams
• Work within agile/scrum project teams in a leadership role

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of relevant IT experience, including leadership and mentoring roles
• 4+ years building and automating Azure environments in enterprise settings
• 3+ years using IaC tools (ARM, Terraform, JSON, PowerShell, Github, etc.)
• Extensive IT infrastructure experience (servers, storage, network, security, Identity)
• Azure Administrator certification required; Azure Solutions Architect and DevOps certifications preferred
• Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Network, VWAN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Traffic Manager, CDN, Azure DNS, routing protocols, firewall concepts, Azure Identity services, governance, security, monitoring, Azure VMs, containers, Kubernetes, storage, and backup solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience deploying Azure Enterprise-scale reference architecture
• Full-stack cloud infrastructure engineering experience
• Experience working in an Extreme Programming environment
• Ability to facilitate diverse teams, multitask, and meet deadlines under pressure
• Proficiency with IaC tools like ADO, ARM, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, AZ CLI, GitHub
• Experience with Kubernetes environments using AKS
• Technical expertise across Windows/Linux/VMware/Hyper-V/AKS, SQL, NoSQL, IaaS, PaaS, FaaS, security, networking, monitoring, and identity management
• Experience in DevOps, Agile methodologies, and retail or grocery sectors, with leadership experience
• Masters Degree and additional relevant certifications preferred

Salary Range: $108,880 - $163,320 (ME/NC/PA/SC); $125,200 - $187,800 (IL/MA/MD)
