Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and maintaining enterprise cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and improve day‑to‑day ops of hardware and OS including Cloud Services.
• Evaluate system utilization, monitor performance, and address operational problems.
• Coordinate changes to servers, networks, OS and devices, including testing.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and standards across infrastructure.
• Utilize cloud services to improve cost efficiencies and performance.
• Configure cloud native services in CI/CD pipelines using IaC tools.
• Implement Istio service mesh and Helm deployments.
• Configure firewalls and security appliances and DR plans.
• Maintain VMware and cloud virtual environments and AD domain.
• Mentor Cloud Admins and Engineers; collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Provide infrastructure solutions aligned with project scope and timelines.
• Maintain deployment platforms and infrastructure with IaC (Terraform/ARM/PowerShell).
• Troubleshoot AKS cluster issues and deployments via Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Support SQL Server databases and develop automation scripts.
• Perform duties with a focus on Inspira risk mitigation and reliability.
• Handle inbound tickets and cross‑train team members as needed.

Job description

The Sr. Cloud Engineer will report to the Cloud Engineering Manager in the Technology Department. This role is responsible for the design, administration, maintenance, and support of the enterprise infrastructure for a dynamic, growing business. The environment spans private and public clouds, networks, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, mobile devices, process schedulers, telecommunications, and general databases. The SCE will interface closely with the development teams, client service teams and business leaders to integrate, support, operate and provide infrastructure related to the Platform Architecture within Millennium Trust. Working within a team environment, the SCE participates directly in solution creation, providing hands‑on support as well as operational support and training. This individual must be creative, client focused, solutions‑driven, organized, and have the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

• Provide direct support and improve the day‑to‑day operations of hardware and operating systems, including Cloud Services:
  • o Evaluate system utilization, monitor response time, and provide primary support for detection and correction of operational problems.
  • o Coordinate and perform additions and changes to servers, network, operating systems and attached devices, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation and testing of new network hardware and software.
  • o Ensure servers, operating systems and network components are implemented and adhere to the information security policies and infrastructure standards.
  • o Utilize metrics and cloud native consumption‑based services to improve cost efficiencies.
• Implement and Configure Cloud native services in CI/CD pipelines using IAC tools.
• Implement and Configure Istio Service Mesh and Helm Chart Deployments
• Implement and Configure firewalls and security appliances.
• Implement and Configure the Disaster Recovery and Business Resumption Plan as it relates to the backup and restoration of the technology infrastructure.
  • o Ensure run books are updated on a regular basis.
• Maintain the VMware and Cloud virtual environments.
• Maintain the Microsoft Active Directory Domain
• Mentor fellow Cloud Admins and Engineers
• Manage, monitor, troubleshoot and support existing projects and processes; collaborate with various cross‑functional teams to determine and define software requirements and propose software solutions.
• Provide technical subject matter expertise and work with a wider team to ensure development activities are aligned with the scope, schedule, priority, and business objectives.
• Maintaining and upgrading the deployment platforms as well as system infrastructure with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or ARM templets or PowerShell or similar.
• Troubleshooting AKS cluster‑based issues, deployment through the ADO pipeline
• CLI, Powershell, ARMExperience working with teams to deliver complete azure solutions (security, operations, engineering, application team)
• Provide infrastructure problem resolution for various applications throughout the organization.
• Provide general SQL Server database troubleshooting and support.
• Utilize programming skills to design and develop programs or scripts for various repetitive functions.
• Performs all duties with a focus on goals of Inspira, which includes risk mitigation.
• Support inbound calls/emails, maintaining tickets within the issue tracking application related to Infrastructure Support
• Cross‑train other team members to facilitate coverage.
• Other duties as assigned.
