The candidate will partner with development, security, and operations teams to implement cloud-native and serverless solutions, with a strong emphasis on IaC and secure networking designs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering with Azure focus
• Strong IaC expertise and knowledge of Azure networking, resiliency, and security frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Azure-native recovery tools and modern app ecosystems

Responsibilities

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a hybrid Sr. Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer to join a finance firm in Bethesda, MD. The Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and operating secure, scalable Azure infrastructure.

Responsibilities of the Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer includes:

• Lead the architecture and day-to-day management of Azure environments, ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across core infrastructure components
• Develop and enforce automated provisioning practices using Infrastructure as Code to standardize and streamline deployments
• Establish and enhance secure cloud networking designs, enabling controlled connectivity for both platform services and application workloads
• Drive resilience efforts by implementing and validating backup and disaster recovery strategies aligned with business continuity goals
• Partner cross-functionally with development, security, and operations teams to support modern cloud-native and serverless solutions

Qualifications of the Sr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer includes:

• 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud engineering initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Azure environments
• Demonstrated expertise in IaC practices along with deep knowledge of Azure networking, resiliency planning, and security frameworks
• Hands-on exposure to Azure-native recovery tools and modern application ecosystems
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and successfully complete a government background investigation

Compensation of theSr. Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer includes:

• Compensation range: $150,000 - 160,000 + bonus structure
