At Houston Methodist, the Senior Clinical Dietitian position is responsible for functioning as an experienced clinician in accordance with the standards established by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND). The role includes duties of a clinical dietitian and emphasizes application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP), including completing nutrition assessments, diagnosing nutrition issues, developing and implementing interventions, and monitoring patient progress. The position also involves mentoring dietetic interns and entry-level clinicians, collaborating with the healthcare team to provide integrated inpatient/outpatient care aligned with patient-focused goals. Additionally, the role participates in departmental and quality improvement projects.
