Role Overview

Pacific Life is investing in bright, agile, and diverse talent to contribute to our mission of innovating our business and creating a superior customer experience. We’re actively seeking a talented Sr. Client Solutions Specialist to join our new Workforce Benefits division. This role can be fully remote or hybrid and based in Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities
  1. Maintain ongoing relationships with technology counterparts at Benefits Technology vendor partners.
  2. Serve as a subject matter expert on enrollment flows for assigned partnerships.
  3. Diagnose and resolve case-level technology issues with urgency and excellence.
  4. Escalate common issues to Client Solutions Consultant for analysis.
  5. Communicate break-fixes and feature enhancements to customers.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on data challenges from benefits technology partners.
  7. Respond to inquiries regarding case support from onboarding through ongoing data exchange.
  8. Understand case setup and consult with brokers on best practices.
  9. Support case-level file exchanges (EDI, XML, API) to ensure data sync.
  10. Monitor error reporting and proactively address data issues.
  11. Enhance internal knowledge of our technology solutions.
  12. Understand regulatory and compliance landscape related to enrollment and benefits.
  13. Adhere to departmental controls and standards.
  14. Demonstrate a customer-centric mindset and problem-solving skills.
  15. Participate in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas.
  16. Prioritize work to meet department standards for quality and timeliness.
  17. Align actions and decisions with Pacific Life’s mission and vision.
Qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 3-5 years in worksite or voluntary benefits industry
  • Understanding of FinTech technology ecosystems
  • Effective communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to present to all stakeholder levels
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with API technology in benefits industry
  • Experience with Benefits Administration systems and data exchanges

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay range: $78,840 - $96,360. Compensation depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Incentive pay is also available.

Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, parental leave, adoption assistance, and a 401k plan.
