Job summary

Holmes Murphy Insurance in Denver, CO is seeking a Sr. Client Service Consultant to lead the Property Casualty team.

The role emphasizes ownership of large, complex accounts, superior client service, and collaboration with underwriters to renew and tailor coverage. The successful candidate will have 5+ years in customer service, underwriting, or risk management within insurance and hold an active Property Casualty license (or obtain within 3 months).

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years customer service, underwriting or risk management experience in the insurance industry.
  • Active state specific Property Casualty Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and lead accounts by servicing the largest and most complex accounts; Client Service Specialist and Client Service Consultant support dependent upon account size.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service and partners with clients to renew policies, negotiate with underwriters, and assess client needs.
  • Investigates or identifies resources to resolve complex insurance issues ensuring client and sales team satisfaction.
  • Maintain visibility with clients and build lasting relationships through professional and technical expertise, understanding client’s business needs.
  • Meet with team for pre-renewal meetings on assigned accounts and develop client opportunities.
  • Market renewal policies and negotiate with insurance company underwriters.
  • Prepare client renewal reviews, order renewals, and complete required documents.
  • Manage complex insurance plans including loss-sensitive funding and related loss development and forecasting.
  • Ensure account accuracy of online data, carrier documents, exposure schedules, policy formats, endorsements, premiums, and invoicing.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Take ownership and lead accounts by servicing the largest and most complex accounts; Client Service Specialist and Client Service Consultant support dependent upon account size.
  • Demonstrates exceptional customer service and operates as an effective partner with clients to include, but not limited to: Market renewal policies and negotiate with insurance company underwriters; Reviews insurance in place and assesses future needs of client; Evaluates and recommends insurance options for clients; Maintains an awareness of complex or significant claims situations and assists in claims process management as requested, to ensure client claim issues are satisfactorily resolved.
  • Investigates or identifies appropriate resources to resolve complex insurance issues ensuring client and sales team satisfaction.
  • Maintains visibility with clients, fostering lasting relationships developed through professional and technical expertise, as well as understanding client’s business needs.
  • Meet with team for pre-renewal meetings on assigned accounts and development of client opportunities.
  • Market renewal policies and negotiate with insurance company underwriters.
  • Prepares client renewal reviews and applications, orders renewals, as well as the completion of required documents.
  • Manages various complex insurance plans such as loss sensitive risk funding plans, and associated loss development and loss forecasting.
  • Accountable for account accuracy by ensuring that on-line customer information, as well as items received by carriers are accurate and current to include exposure schedules, policy formats, policy endorsements, premiums, and invoicing.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years customer service, underwriting or risk management experience in the insurance industry.
  • Licensing: Active state specific Property Casualty Insurance agent’s license required or the ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
  • Technical Competencies: Invests in understanding and applying insurance principles to consult with clients and meet their strategic needs. Actively contributes to workflows, processes, and deliverables, using agency systems to provide a world-class client experience and ensure compliance. Able to understand clients, prioritize tasks, manage status, and deliver impactful solutions proactively.

The salary range for Colorado is $93,600-$144,600. Compensation is based on several factors, including, but not limited to, education, work experience and industry certifications.
