Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Sr Civil/Structural Engineer to lead our Akron team. You will act as Technical Lead, supervise projects from concept to completion, and mentor staff while representing the firm in client meetings.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of civil/structural design/build experience in power, chemicals, or manufacturing facilities, with an ABET-accredited degree and a PE license. Hybrid work is offered along with strong growth potential.

• 10+ years in civil/structural design/build for industrial facilities.
• Engineer of Record with ability to seal for permits.
• Strong knowledge of building codes related to civil/structural design.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and project execution for industrial facilities.
• Represent the firm in client meetings and interface with owners and contractors.
• Supervise projects from concept through completion; delegate work and mentor staff.
• Provide design reviews and QA/QC across project teams.
• Manage civil/structural design-build projects including scheduling and budgets.

Managing Structural PE - Technical Lead / Dept. Head (Hybrid)

Seeking a Sr Civil/Structural Engineer to Lead our Team. Successful candidates will have experience Leading Industrial Design/Build Projects, Team Leadership, and Project Management. As Technical Leader you will Represent the Firm in Client Meeting; Supervise Projects from Concept through Completion; Serve as the Technical Lead Delegating work and Mentoring Staff; Provide Design Review and QA/QC. Seeking Engineering Consulting Firm background performing Conceptual Design of Industrial, Chemical, Process/Piping Systems and Facilities.

• Professional Engineer (PE) Required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering – ABET Accredited
• 10+ years of Civil/Structural Design/Build experience of Power Plants, Chemicals, or Manufacturing facilities
• Engineer of Record (EOR) able to provide professional seal for governmental permitting procedures.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes as they relate to civil/structural design.
• Experience in acting as project manager on civil/structural based projects.
• Ability to obtain data from field observations, including working at heights via ladder or personnel lifts as required.
• Proven capability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office, STAAD, STAAD Foundation, Bluebeam and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Tekla Tedds, Hilti PROFIS, RAM Elements and other engineering or drafting software is helpful but not required.
