Job description

What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Site Engineer, Project Manager to join our Civil Team in any of our PA offices This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring occassional attendance in the office.

What you'll be challenged to do:

In this role, you lead technical design, planning and delivery in a wide variety of public (federal/state/municipal) and private (commercial, institutional, industrial, pharma/lab, educational, recreational) sector projects, including buildings, parking facilities, streetscapes, and water/wastewater infrastructure in a dynamic team setting.

This represents an excellent career opportunity for a proven self-starter capable of leading medium to large scale projects with a customer-centric mentality with an emphasis on delivery quality at the highest level.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Participating in and leading project teams in the planning, design, and construction administration of public and private projects. Clients and projects may be in any locations in the Mid-Atlantic regions. Candidate must have the flexibility to travel within the region periodically to help serve GFT's client base.
  • Client interaction, presentations and project coordination.
  • Coordinating work activities by various technical staff and consultants including developing and implementing study and design standards for consultants to follow, leading progress meetings, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, tracking project schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinating work activities and communicating with various municipalities and governmental regulating agencies.
  • Oversee construction contract management and observation services
  • Oversee stormwater management designs, reporting and permitting.
  • Preparation of reports and permit applications
  • Supervise and mentor junior-level engineers
  • Demonstrate professional technical writing and verbal skills
Education | Experience:

What you will bring to our firm:

  • BS in Civil, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) is required
  • 15+ years of land development entitlement experience required including a thorough knowledge of the requirements of local, State and Federal agencies having land development approval jurisdiction.
  • Thorough knowledge of local land development approval process including site design and grading, stormwater management and E&S design, and NPDES permitting.
  • Extensive site stormwater management design and permitting.
  • Demonstrated project management experience including budget and schedule monitoring and control responsibilities.
  • Experienced in client relations and business development.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $120,000 - $160,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
