Summary of Duties:

The Sr. Change Manager works in a lead technical capacity with our business partners and other IT organizations to align technology solutions and/or processes with Information Technology and business strategies. Demonstrates informed knowledge within the function to resolve problems and assist with process improvements. Supports several moderately complex business processes and may be allocated part-time to enterprise project initiatives of moderate to high complexity.

Essential Functions:
  1. Manage the IT Change Management process and supervise a team of change analysts/technologists, including training, delegating tasks, and providing guidance on ITIL principles, processes, and procedures.
  2. Monitor the Change Management Process for improvement opportunities and recommend enhancements.
  3. Collaborate with process owners to ensure change management efforts align with strategic plans.
  4. Design change authority hierarchy and criteria for Request for Change (RFC) allocation.
  5. Create change models and workflows, ensuring configuration data availability to support other service management processes.
  6. Assist in governance of Service Management disciplines such as Change, Release, Configuration, and Project Lifecycle Management.
  7. Document and analyze service management activities.
  8. Work with other process owners to ensure integrated approach across change, asset, configuration, release, and testing management.
  9. Review and update Change Management policies, procedures, and training documentation annually.
  10. Monitor metrics to ensure customer satisfaction and analyze risk information for issues and mitigation plans.
  11. Verify quality and completeness of change implementations, including testing, scheduling, and risk analysis.
  12. Facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings to assess change activities and validate milestones.
  13. Participate in planning sessions for projects or new technologies to implement process improvements.
  14. Establish relationships with business partners and IT departments to provide process solutions and promote understanding of IT Service Management roles and activities.
  15. Assess process improvement needs and advise on options using a structured requirements process.
  16. Collaborate with IT Service Management vendors and departments to enhance service management and reporting tools.
  17. Lead planning sessions, document discussions, and facilitate reviews and meetings.
  18. Maintain liaison relationships to meet user needs and promote ITSM understanding.
  19. Support reporting and timely updates of Configuration Items in the CMDB.
