Job summary

Restaurant Associates, the premier hospitality partner to JPMC in NYC, is seeking a Senior Catering Manager to lead high-touch catering operations in a luxury environment.

You will plan and execute meetings and events from start to finish, manage budgets and staff, and coordinate menus and client proposals.

The role requires 5+ years in hospitality leadership, strong client relations, and Excel/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hospitality experience with supervisory duties in a high-volume setting.
• Experience in high-volume, luxury, or premium food & beverage environments.
• Knowledge of food trends and fine dining service.
• Ability to write catering menu proposals with chefs.
• Excellent client relations, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of A/V equipment for event setup.
• Strong leadership, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• ServSafe certification recommended.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate room setups, A/V needs, timelines, and special requests with planning teams.
• Ensure timely communication of upcoming events to operations and management teams.
• Oversee administrative processes and accurate system entry.
• Drive menu development and catering marketing initiatives with culinary leadership.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
• Supervise food preparation, service execution, and event breakdown.
• Maintain client databases and vendor relationships.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.

Job Summary
