Job summary

LeoForce in San Jose, CA is seeking a Sr. CAD Drafter/BIM Modeler to translate engineer markups into precise 2D drawings and 3D Revit models. You will maintain CAD/BIM standards and prepare final drawing packages for issue, supporting coordination with designers, engineers, and field teams.

The role focuses on multi-project delivery, schedule adherence, and hands-on BIM support within a mid-sized mechanical services contracting environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional drafting/modeling experience in HVAC, plumbing, or MEP.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
• Hands-on Dynamo experience in a production environment (create, run, troubleshoot scripts).
• Proficient in Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC and plumbing drawings and 3D models in AutoCAD and Revit from engineer markups and project requirements.
• Maintain CAD/BIM standards, model and sheet organization, revision history, and deliverable logs.
• Produce and update plans, sections, details, and final drawing packages (PDFs/printed sets).
• Provide BIM support tasks: CAD/model cleanup, exporting views, and preparing files for coordination meetings.
• Collaborate with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers to clarify markups and resolve issues.
• Manage daily workload to meet project schedules and deadlines.

Job Details

You will translate engineer markups and standards into accurate, buildable 2D drawings and 3D Revit models, maintain CAD/BIM standards, prepare final drawing packages for issue, and provide basic BIM support for coordination. The role involves close collaboration with designers, engineers, project managers, and field teams to keep documents consistent, organized, and ready for the field while managing multiple projects to meet schedules and deadlines.
