Job summary

Thatcher Chemical is building a foundational Business Systems function and seeks a Senior Business Systems Consultant to lead the bridge between business processes and Oracle ERP Cloud/NetSuite. This role owns governance, platform health, and a strategic roadmap, while defining how the business uses the system next.

You will partner with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain, gather requirements, and translate them into configurations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Oracle ERP Cloud and/or NetSuite in business systems, ERP consulting, or systems analyst capacity.
• Hands-on ERP administration experience including security/roles, workflow and object configuration, environment management, and integration/job monitoring.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into system configuration, not just technical implementation.
• Experience standing up or maturing a business systems function (governance, change management, documentation).
• Experience across core modules (Financials, Procurement, Order-to-Cash or similar).
• Experience managing sandbox/production environment strategy, releases, and change promotion.
• Familiarity with integration tools/middleware and reporting/BI tools commonly paired with Oracle/NetSuite.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation with business leaders, and writing functional specs for technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Certifications in Oracle Cloud or NetSuite are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Sr. Business Systems Consultant

We're building our Business Systems function from the ground up, and we need a Senior Business Systems Consultant to lead the charge. This role is the critical bridge between business processes and technology, someone who can translate operational needs into scalable ERP Cloud solutions, and who has the technical depth to own the platform's ongoing health, governance, and maturity.

This is a foundational hire. You won't just maintain a system, you'll help define how the business uses it, establish the governance model, and set the roadmap for where it goes next.

Key Responsibilities

Process-to-System Bridging

• Partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Oracle ERP/NetSuite configurations
• Map current-state business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design future-state workflows that leverage the ERP's native capabilities
• Serve as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams (internal IT, implementation partners, support)
• Build relationships with key business stakeholders and establish yourself as the go-to resource for all ERP needs.

System Ownership & Maturity

• Own the day-to-day health of the Oracle ERP/NetSuite environment: configuration, workflows, integrations, and data integrity
• Assess the current state of the ERP and identify critical maturity gaps, undocumentedconfigurations, inconsistent change control, ad hoc support processes and build the roadmap to close them
• Build out the governance framework from scratch ,change management processes, testing protocols, release management, and documentation standards
• Establish a roadmap for system maturity: modules to enable features to adopt, technical debt to retire
• Monitor releases and new Oracle/NetSuite features and assess their fit for the business

ERP Administration

• Act as the primary system administrator for Oracle ERP Cloud/NetSuite: user provisioning, role and permission management, and access reviews
• Own security configuration, segregation of duties, approval hierarchies, and audit controls
• Manage system configuration end-to-end: workflows, custom fields/objects, saved searches, dashboards, and forms
• Administer and monitor scheduled jobs, integrations, and data imports/exports; troubleshoot failures and performance issues
• Manage sandbox/test environments, refresh cycles, and promote configuration changes through environments in a controlled way
• Maintain the patch/release calendar & evaluate quarterly/annual ERP updates for impact before they hit production
• Serve as the escalation point for Tier 2/3 system issues, coordinating with Oracle/NetSuite support as needed
• Own system documentation: configuration standards, admin runbooks, and disaster recovery/backup procedures

Implementation & Continuous Improvement

• Lead or heavily contribute to new module rollouts, integrations, and enhancement projects
• Define and track KPIs for system performance and business process efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, escalating to Oracle support or implementation partners when needed
• Train and support end users; build a knowledge base and standard operating procedures

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience working with Oracle ERP Cloud and/or NetSuite in business systems, ERP consulting, or systems analyst capacity
• Deep, hands-on ERP administration experience is required not just user-facing configuration, but true system admin ownership: security/roles, workflow and object configuration, environment management, and integration/job monitoring
• Proven experience translating business requirements into system configuration not just a technical implementer, but someone fluent in process design
• Experience standing up or significantly maturing a business systems function (governance, change management, documentation) is strongly preferred
• Hands-on configuration experience across core modules (e.g., Financials, Procurement, Order-to-Cash, or similar specify based on your business needs)
• Experience managing sandbox/production environment strategy, release cycles, and change promotion in a controlled, auditable way
• Familiarity with integration tools/middleware and reporting/BI tools commonly paired with Oracle/NetSuite
• Strong stakeholder management skills comfortable running workshops with business leaders and writing functional specs for technical teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Oracle or NetSuite administrator certifications strongly preferred (e.g., NetSuite Administrator, Oracle Cloud certifications)
