Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience building BI dashboards (Power BI, Fabric, or similar) and working directly with ERP data.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external IT vendors/SOWs, including scope and cost negotiation.
  • Practical exposure to applying AI tools to business processes (not a data science/ML engineering role).
  • Comfortable operating independently in a single-site, lean-team environment with no direct reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to translate plant-floor and back-office needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
  • Experience with ERP platforms used across Marmon P&R (Infor LN, Microsoft D365, or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Triage, prioritize, and track day-to-day ERP support issues; escalate appropriately and hold vendors accountable to SLAs.
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage Statements of Work for IT infrastructure and system projects, in coordination with Marmon P&R IT.
  • Design and build BI dashboards for operations, finance, and production leadership.
  • Define reporting requirements with business stakeholders and translate them into data/reporting solutions.
  • Identify and implement practical AI-enabled improvements to core workflows, starting with order entry and AP/AR streamlining.
  • Partner with Marmon P&R's IT/AI team on tool selection and governance; ensure solutions fit approved enterprise tools.
  • Support real-time production cell and equipment monitoring initiatives, working with plant engineering and external integrators.
  • Coordinate data and code uploads to equipment/controllers as needed for production technology projects.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Western's current ERP configuration, customizations, and pain points.
  • Build the business case, requirements documentation, and readiness assessment ahead of a future ERP upgrade or replacement.
  • Guide Technologies engagement is running against clearly scoped, tracked SOWs — no ambiguity on cost, timeline, or deliverables.
  • At least one BI dashboard and one AI-enabled process improvement (e.g., order entry or AP/AR automation) are live and adopted by the business.
  • A documented current-state assessment of the ERP environment exists, ready to feed into upgrade/replacement planning when Western comes up in the Marmon P&R ERP queue.
  • Reports administratively to the Controller, Western Enterprises, with a functional/dotted-line relationship to the Marmon P&R VP, IT organization for standards, tooling, and vendor governance alignment.
  • Works day-to-day with plant operations, finance, and Guide Technologies; coordinates periodically with Marmon P&R IT leadership on ERP roadmap and AI tooling.

Job description

Western/Scott Fetzer Company As a part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings—which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway—you’ll be doing things that matter, leading at every level, and winning a better way. We’re committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone’s empowered to be their best.

Company: Western Enterprises

Position: Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Location: Westlake, OH

Who We Are Western Enterprises, now part of the Marmon family, has been in around for over 60 years. They are the go to company for everything compressed gas-related. From your basic hose fittings to intricate manifold systems, all crafted right in Westlake, Ohio. The company is passionate about innovation and quality, always striving to meet the diverse needs of industries worldwide. The company currently relies on Guide Technologies for ERP and technical support without a dedicated internal owner to manage that relationship, translate business needs into project scope, or drive technology improvements. This role closes that gap: a single, hands-on point of accountability for ERP support, vendor SOWs, and the business-facing analytics and automation projects the plant and office need day to day — while preparing the ground for a future ERP upgrade or system change.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the primary business-side point of contact for Guide Technologies and other external technical vendors.
What You’ll Need
  • 5+ years in a business systems analyst, ERP analyst, or similar hybrid business/technology role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Exposure to production/equipment monitoring or IoT-type integrations in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Prior experience supporting or preparing for an ERP migration/upgrade is a plus.
What You’ll Gain
  • Competitive salaried compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage)
  • 401(k) with company matching
  • Leadership development and career growth opportunities
  • The ability to make a direct impact on safety, customer satisfaction, and operational performance
  • A collaborative, results-driven work environment

We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
