Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience as a Planning Analyst, Supply Chain professional, or similar role.
  • Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (data modeling, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charting).
  • Hands-on SAP experience highly preferred.
  • Business-level English and Japanese (reading & writing) required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a desire for professional growth and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to coordinate with Japan HQ across different time zones.

Responsibilities

  • Lead business planning and performance management activities (annual plans, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards).
  • Analyze sales, inventory, backlog, pipeline, and other indicators to identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations.
  • Develop demand forecasts, sales outlooks, and scenario analyses using SAP, CRM, and other systems.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Finance and other divisions to align strategies and execution.
  • Serve as Planning representative for the FY27 SAP implementation (requirements, testing, training).
  • Drive business process standardization and continuous improvement using SAP and digital tools.
  • Maintain documentation for planning processes, reporting structures, and workflows.
  • Lead planning-related communications, meetings, and reporting with Japan HQ.
  • Support executive discussions with data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations.
  • Act as liaison between North America and Japan to align priorities.

Position

Sr. Business Strategy & Operations Analyst


Summary

The Sr. Business Strategy & Operations Analyst will support business planning, performance management, forecasting, and strategic initiatives to drive sustainable business growth. This role will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and other business divisions, while serving as a key liaison between the North American organization and Japan headquarters. The position will also play an important role in the FY27 SAP implementation and business process transformation.


Essential Duties


  • Lead business planning and performance management activities, including annual business plans, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards, and management reviews.

  • Analyze sales, inventory, backlog, pipeline, and other key business indicators to identify risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.

  • Develop demand forecasts, sales outlooks, and scenario analyses using SAP, CRM, and other business systems.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, Finance, and other business divisions to align strategies and execution plans.

  • Serve as a key Planning representative for the FY27 SAP implementation, coordinating business requirements, testing, user training, and process alignment.

  • Drive business process standardization and continuous improvement using SAP and other digital tools.

  • Develop and maintain documentation for planning processes, reporting structures, and business workflows.

  • Lead planning-related communications, meetings, and reporting activities with Japan headquarters.

  • Support executive discussions through data-driven analysis and strategic recommendations.

  • Act as a liaison between North America and Japan to ensure alignment on business priorities, performance targets, and strategic initiatives.


Working Hours / Working style


  • Full-time, Monday-Friday

  • Individual contributor position; reports to the Planning Director and Manager

  • Requires flexibility to participate in meetings with the Japan team approximately twice a week to accommodate time zone differences.
