ETIC is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Sr. Business Development & Construction Services Manager to lead and expand our growing Construction and Field Services Division in the San Francisco Bay Area.

This leadership role emphasizes building client relationships, identifying growth opportunities across environmental, civil, and infrastructure construction markets, and guiding strategic pursuits from initiation to project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in construction, environmental remediation, civil infrastructure, or related professional services industries.
  • Demonstrated success growing business through client relationships, strategic pursuits, and market development.
  • Strong understanding of public and private sector procurement methods, delivery models, and construction operations.
  • Experience leading or building a construction practice, business unit, or regional operation within a construction or professional services firm.
  • Established reputation within the industry and the ability to leverage professional relationships to support company growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard business software.
  • Self-driven, collaborative leader capable of working effectively in a hybrid and fast-paced environment.
  • Valid California Driver’s License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic business development efforts focused on expanding ETIC’s construction and field services presence across public and private sector markets.
  • Identify and pursue new growth opportunities within environmental remediation, civil infrastructure, utility, industrial, and environmental construction sectors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, agency representatives, and industry partners to support long-term business growth.
  • Support market expansion initiatives through targeted outreach, strategic networking, and participation in industry organizations and events.
  • Serve as a senior client-facing representative and trusted advisor to existing and prospective clients.
  • Build and strengthen long-term client relationships through regular engagement, strategic planning discussions, and ongoing support of client objectives.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure high-quality project delivery and exceptional client service that supports repeat business opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and strategic input for proposals, qualifications packages, procurement strategies, cost estimating, and technical approaches for competitive pursuits and negotiated opportunities.
  • Support capture planning and positioning efforts for key clients, contracts, and strategic programs.
  • Partner with project managers and field leadership to support successful planning and execution of construction and field services projects.
  • Participate in preconstruction planning, subcontractor coordination, budgeting discussions, forecasting, and resource planning activities.
  • Support operational improvements that enhance project efficiency, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Represent ETIC at conferences, trade associations, networking events, and industry functions to strengthen brand visibility and market positioning.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, procurement developments, and regulatory changes impacting California’s construction and environmental industries.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, evolving client needs, and strategic partnerships that align with ETIC’s growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on long-term growth strategy, service line development, organizational planning, and market positioning initiatives.
  • Mentor and support developing staff, project managers, and field personnel to foster leadership growth and team development.
  • Provide strategic recommendations regarding staffing, operational resources, equipment planning, and organizational improvements.

ETIC is seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Sr. Business Development & Construction Services Manager to lead and expand our growing Construction and Field Services Division. The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven leader with strong industry credibility, business acumen, and a deep understanding of construction operations and project delivery. This role blends strategic growth leadership with operational collaboration, helping strengthen ETIC’s market presence while supporting successful project execution throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping ETIC’s long-term construction growth strategy, expanding service offerings, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting a collaborative, high-performing team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development & Strategic Growth
