Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to transform data into actionable insights that improve warehouse performance and efficiency. You will build dashboards, implement standard tools, and support data-driven decision-making across multiple sites.

You will lead projects, collaborate with site leadership, and act as a key analytics partner for HR, Finance, and operations while applying Python, R, and advanced analytics to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years in data analytics or BI required.
• Extensive SQL or scripting (Python or R) experience required.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboards and reports from scratch, required.
• Proficiency in writing DAX expressions to enhance Power BI reports, required.
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines from multiple sources, required.
• Strong understanding of statistics, data modeling, and modern analytics trends, required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to translate data into insights, required.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and lead cross-functional projects, required.
• Must be able to work fully onsite if role based out of a warehouse, required.

This role is expected to be based in Fairburn, GA. Depending on candidate qualifications, opportunity may exist to be based in Dallas, TX, Perris, CA, or Elgin, IL.

The Sr Business Data Analyst role has a national salary range of $70,000 - $115,000.

For roles within California the range is $70,304 - $115,000 and Washington is $80,169 - $115,000.

Job Description

As a Senior Business Data Analyst, you will support warehouse operations by transforming data into actionable insights that improve performance and efficiency. You’ll collaborate with site leadership and key stakeholders to build dashboards, implement standard tools, and support data-driven decision-making. In addition to core analytics work, you’ll have the opportunity to lead projects across multiple sites, support site startups, and act as a point of contact for analytics community initiatives.

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports to support operational and strategic decisions
• Full development of Power BI including data visualization and back-end data model design
• Clean, model, and analyze data using SQL, DAX, and statistical techniques to uncover trends and drive improvements
• Implement and maintain standard reporting tools for the site or sector
• Assist various functional teams (HR, Finance, etc.) with customized analytical solutions to meet evolving business needs
• Serve as a point of contact for Power BI-related questions and analytics community initiatives
• Lead knowledge-sharing sessions to promote data literacy and tool adoption
• Manage analytics projects independently and across multiple sites
• Design and implement data pipelines (ETL) from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured sources
• Apply Python, R, or other analytics tools to enhance reporting and automation
• Stay current with modern data analytics trends and apply best practices to improve processes
• Support site startups as needed by implementing analytics tools and reporting frameworks

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or 4 years of equivalent professional experience, required
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, required
• Extensive experience using SQL or other scripting languages (such as Python or R) to query, clean, and transform data, required
• Proficiency in Power BI, including building dashboards and reports from scratch, required
• Proficiency in writing DAX expressions to automate and enhance Power BI reports, required
• Experience designing and managing data pipelines and working with diverse data sources, required
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts, data modeling techniques, and modern analytics trends, required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, required
