Job Summary:

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Business Architect to join our team. This role involves developing and maintaining the business architecture blueprint for our organization, focusing on specific Lines of Business (LOBs) such as Life, Annuity, LTC, MedSup. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the insurance industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to engage effectively with both functional and technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the organization's business architecture blueprint, including current and future state views.
• Conduct capability assessments and create detailed capability maps for current state.
• Perform value stream mapping to identify process improvements.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis to identify capability shortfalls.
• Create future state business capability views aligned with strategic goals.
• Develop capability roadmaps with sequencing plans.
• Evaluate off-the-shelf software solutions for architectural fit.
• Maintain business context views, including diagrams of current and future states.
• Identify gaps in business context and suggest improvements.
• Create future state capability roadmaps aligned with overall architecture.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in business architecture and insurance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in business architecture within the insurance industry.
• Experience working in at least one insurance LOB such as Life, Annuity, LTC, or MedSup (please specify in application).
• Proven ability to develop and maintain business architecture blueprints.
• Strong skills in capability modeling, value stream mapping, fit-gap analysis.
• Experience with capability roadmap development and software evaluation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of business architecture frameworks like TOGAF is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
