Job summary

National Oilwell Varco is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - BlackLine to join the Enterprise Solutions team. You will partner with ERP analysts, Finance leaders, IT, and stakeholders to implement, enhance, and support BlackLine across business segments and locations worldwide.

You will lead workshops, define requirements, and configure BlackLine modules while coordinating with Oracle Cloud Fusion, Oracle EBS R12, JD Edwards integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5–7 years hands-on BlackLine implementation and support experience.
• Completion of at least three full lifecycle BlackLine implementations.
• Experience configuring BlackLine for Intercompany and close processes.
• Knowledge of SOX controls and audit support.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for assigned BlackLine modules (e.g., Account Reconciliations, Journal Entry, Intercompany).
• Support BlackLine implementations and enhancements.

• Plan and conduct unit, system, and integration testing.
• Provide onsite or remote customer support as needed.

Job description

The Senior Business Analyst - BlackLine will be part of the Enterprise Solutions - Financial Applications team. This team member will partner with ERP business analysts, Finance leaders, IT, technical resources, and business stakeholders to implement, enhance, and support BlackLine across business segments and global locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for assigned BlackLine modules, which could include Account Reconciliations, Transaction Matching, Task Management, Journal Entry, Intercompany, Variance Analysis, or other relevant modules.
• Support BlackLine implementations and enhancements as needed.
• Lead functional workshops, product demonstrations, assessments, and requirements sessions with Finance and business stakeholders.
• Document current-state processes, business requirements, future-state process flows, functional specifications, business rules, approval hierarchies, and control requirements.
• Configure BlackLine workflows, roles, security, templates, matching rules, reconciliation formats, task structures, and related functional components.
• Architect functional solutions for BlackLine and its integration with Oracle Cloud Fusion, Oracle EBS R12, JD Edwards, and other ERP or Finance applications.
• Partner with technical teams on API and file-based integrations, middleware, master data, chart of accounts, currencies, data feeds, and integration error resolution.
• Support data conversion and migration activities, including mapping, cleansing, validation, reconciliation of legacy data, and cutover readiness.
• Plan and conduct unit testing, system and integration testing
• Participate as a functional lead on cross-functional Finance transformation projects and provide onsite or remote customer support as required.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 5–7 years of hands‑on BlackLine implementation and support experience.
• Completion of at least three full lifecycle BlackLine implementations as a Functional Solution Architect, Functional Lead, or equivalent role.
• Demonstrated experience configuring BlackLine for Intercompany and other relevant financial‑close processes.
• Strong business‑process analysis and redesign skills, including process mapping, requirements analysis, future‑state design, and implementation.
• Experience with BlackLine administration, including security roles, workflows, configurations, approval hierarchies, templates, and business rules.
• Experience with BlackLine integrations to Oracle Cloud Fusion, Oracle EBS R12, JD Edwards, or comparable ERP platforms.
• Experience with data conversion, migration validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning.
• Working knowledge of SOX controls and audit support and controlled change management.
• Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and written documentation skills.

Preferred

• 8 or more years of relevant BlackLine or Finance systems experience.
• BlackLine certification or equivalent product training.
• Manufacturing or industrial industry experience.
• Experience supporting global implementations across multiple regions, currencies, time zones, and local accounting practices.
• Experience with middleware, APIs, enterprise data architecture, and integration monitoring tools.

• Successful delivery of BlackLine implementations and enhancements on schedule and with minimal business disruption.
• Reduced manual effort, exception volumes, and recurring integration or production issues.
